Ada berbagai banyak sumber protein seperti dari daging, telur, biji-bijian, dan susu. Susu merupakan sumber protein yang paling efektif, asam amino dari susu lebih lengkap dan gizinya lebih komplit. Bahkan kini marak suplemen protein dari bahan susu yaitu whey dan casein.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Apa itu Whey Protein?<\/b><\/h3>\r\n

Whey Protein merupakan olahan penyaringan susu yang membuang endapan lemak serta lactose\/gula yang mengendap diatasnya. Sisanya itulah yang disebut whey.<\/span> Namun, bukan berarti semua hasil olahan tersebut murni 100% protein. Ada berbagai jenis dari whey protein.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Jenis Whey Protein<\/b><\/h3>\r\n

1. Whey Concentrate<\/b><\/h4>\r\n

Konsentrasi jumlah protein pada whey cocentrate sekitar 70-80%, dan masih ada sedikit gula juga lemak sekitar 4-8%. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

2. Whey Isolate<\/b><\/h4>\r\n

Protein pada whey isolate merupakan yang paling murni, mengandung sekitar 90-95% protein. Whey isolate sangat baik bagi penderita intoleransi laktosa karena laktosanya sangat sedikit, dan sudah mendekati 0%. Whey isolate juga lebih rendah lemak dibanding whey concentrate. Karena lebih rendah lemak dan gula, otomatis harga whey isolate juga lebih mahal dari whey concentrate.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

3. Whey Hydrolyzed<\/b><\/h4>\r\n

Sebenarnya kualitas atau efektivitas whey hydrolyzed masih sama dengan whey isolate, Cuma bedanya whey hydrolyzed ada enzim khusus yang membuatnya lebih cepat diserap tubuh dan mengurangi potensi reaksi alergi.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Whey Protein, Perlu atau Tidak?<\/b><\/h3>\r\n

Konsumsi suplemen whey protein bisa perlu bisa juga gak perlu. Kalau pengolahan <\/span>realfood<\/span><\/i> yang anda makan kualitas proteinnya terjaga dengan baik, whey protein memang gak perlu. <\/span> Tapi kenyataannya banyak dari kita kurang dalam konsumsi protein harian, atau sering mengolah sumber protein \u00a0seperti ikan dan daging dengan digoreng.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Penurunan protein pada makanan yang digoreng lebih besar dari perebusan, dan orang Indonesia sendiri paling sering mengolah ikan dengan cara digoreng. Nah, saat seperti inilah whey protein diperlukan.<\/span> Bubuk protein whey tersedia dalam berbagai rasa seperti cokelat dan strawberry. <\/span><\/p>\r\n

T<\/span>eksturnya ringan tidak jauh berbeda dengan susu, sehingga mudah bercampur dengan air. Whey protein bisa diminum langsung seperti susu, dijadikan campuran smoothie atau jus.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Manfaat Whey Protein<\/b><\/h3>\r\n

Secara lebih khusus selain untuk melengkapi asupan protein, whey protein diperlukan bagi orang yang berolahraga secara teratur. Ini agar mereka memberikan asupan protein yang cukup sehingga massa otot terbentuk dan mencegah penurunan masa otot.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Protein yang ada pada whey protein juga membuat kenyang dan tidak mudah lapar. Protein ini akan sangat membantu program diet anda. <\/span> Namun ingat, whey protein akan membantu diet anda apabila pola makan sehat dan bergizi seimbang. Kalau Cuma mengandalkan whey protein dan pola makan tidak terjaga, maka whey protein tidak akan bisa membantu diet anda.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n
